Chest & Breathing Problems

I am suffering from cough, I have asthma also. But, cough is increasing slowly. What medicine should I take for remedy of cough.

I've been extraordinarily healthy until when I started having a severe chest pain. It is very difficult for me to breathe as it aches to that extent. If I cough by any chance it feels like I'll die anytime with this pain. I have gone through some test and have been diagnosed with lung infection pleurisy. It is very hurting.
