My Mother Had Gone through ASD Closure 3 months before and she is still facing right shoulder pain. What could be the reasons behind this

I injured my ankle in the gym a few months ago, and I figured it was a torn ligament or something. It was all along the back of my ankle and my Achilles' tendon that was sore. It was painful to walk or put pressure on for a few months, but I never got it checked out. Now I have raised red skin in the same area. The skin is really dry and sometimes itchy. Could they be related or is it something else entirely?
