My father 77 suffering from chronic constipation has been advised to take 3 tsf full castor oil every night . Is it safe to take castor oil daily ? Will it have any side effect in the long run ?

Can non alcoholic liver cirrhosis+ portal vein hypertension + spleenomegaly + pancytopenia ( Pancytopenia is diagnosed 20 days back ) patient take bhumi Amla, punarnava , katuki, Giloy , Kalmegh soaked water in the morning empty stomach ? Would it work these issues ? I'm planning to soak all these herbs in water in night and take this water after boil in the morning empty stomach. Please suggest .
