I have low jaw pain and swelling under ear. It's hurt to touch. Been there for more than a month. Went to different doctors. Sinus infection cleared up with antibiotics. Went to dentist after taking antibiotics. So he said he couldn't see any Infection in any tooth. Did bite test,I felt discomfort on one spot in low first molar. So he said I have tooth fracture l,get extracted. That tooth is sensitive to cold more than other tooth,hurts to bite on one spot. My upper wisdom tooth also erupted. So told me to remove that. My swelling is same from day 1 and it's been more than a month. Whether tooth crack/fracture cause jaw pain &swelling?What could be the reason? It hurts throughout the day& night. I took paracetamol,NSAIDs, muscle relaxant medicines prescribed. I want to know the proper cause of this pain and swelling and treat that tooth first. Do I need to extract the low first molar? Any opinions please. What to do to reduce pain and swelling? None of the medicines reduce both. help.
