Can I start and stop taking Isotertinoin to treat pimples on my own? For example - 10 days and then stop and continue when I get acne again?

Small red dry patch has started to come very gradually on on my left leg the patch was very small but it now is feel like its increasing, i just wanted to identify what is it exactly and do i need to visit the dermatologist physically to get it checked I have attached the photo of my skin spot also on my whole body has i dont see any other red patches dot of any kind

Hi doctors, Thank you very much (to whoever replies to my question). These spots started appearing last September - October. I have consulted a few dermatologists and have been using the medication they provided. Some of the spots have faded completely, however the rest of the spots are there as if it is. I was diagnosed with Lichen Planus, but I am afraid that this might be something else. This might be psychological because my doctor assures me every time that these spots are nothing serious and these are definitely not cancerous spots.
