Skin, Hair and Nail Problems

Hello, I have identified a slight swollen n reddish appearance around the lining of my little finger nail few weeks ago and a spot of discoloration on the nail. Jus to disinfect before I could consult specialist i have applied Povidone Ointment on daily basis during bed time, there is no severe pain noticed till date but could sense the pain near the swollen area. As i have been tested COVID Positive during this time i have not consulted Dr. in person. Now the nail seems becoming brittle. Can I get medical advise on the cause and also how this should be treated. I am posting picture of affected area. I thank beforehand. Looking forward for expert advice.
