Lung infection and coughing On and off coughing since 30 days. Patient was admitted to hospital prior to this for a UTI infection. He is 67 years old with diabetes. His sputum was sent for culture and klebsiella oxytoca was found. He was taking meropenem IV for 4 days and then is taking feronem orally for 8 days. His chest report two month back showed no abnormalities. His recent chest and CT show some mild effusion. Some pulmonary docs are saying its TB some are saying its klebsiella. Please advice.

My wife is suffering from recurrent breast abscess since one year. Two times surgical draining was done already in the march & June this year. On 31.07.2017 E. Coli + Staph infection was found in a pathological test. She was again hospitalized and doctor treated her with Meropenem / Dalacin C 300 I.V. After discharge she is taking R-cin 600 for the last one month. But still a small lumpy area is there. What to do?

Tested covid positive, was on medication and on 12th day she was unable to breath. Currently hospitalized and on oxygen supplement, its been 4 days and she is still unable to breath without oxygen supplement. All other covid symptoms have subsided. Liver Function Test is normal. Currently she is been treated with Piperacillin and Meropenem injection along with other vitamins. However there is no improvement in her condition. She is very weak. How long does it take for the patients oxygen level to normalize?

Raised urine frequency since 7 months poor urine outflow (10.5) since 7 months pain in buttocks post void volume 35 ml semen culture E coli took I.V meropenem for that. h/o cystoscopy tried all salts of alpha blockers and anticholinergics. Do i require bladder neck incision? How to deal with this chronic pain.

Diagnosed with a.pyelonephritis last October, treated with meropenem Iv.got relief. Now problem recurred. Urine re reveals plenty of pus cells. Ct kub done. Reveals multiple scarring in both kidney with associated parenchymal thinning. Creatinine now 1.9. Non diabetic. BP normal. Infection in urine persisting onsite of long course of oral faropenem now. Also, flank pain on both sides.

My 61 year old long term diabetic mother is in hospital since last 10 days with UTI and Hydronephrosis. She was on antibiotics like Nitrofurantoin, fosfomycin and ceftriaxone IV. But despite 10 days prolonged treatment she is getting chills and fever and WBC count is 17000. Doctor has now started Meropenem and recommended a delayed urine culture test. Her sugar has been brought under control with insulin. We are scared and not sure if treatment given is proper. Please suggest if we should consult another hospital or doctor.

My mother is having ulcer on foot it is now big From 4months pus culture was done it shows pseudonom   piperacin+sulbactom and Meropenem is highly sensitive she had piperacin+sulbactom was taken for 7 days from hospital. due to lockdown we came after 7 Days so Dr gave Feropenem 1-0-1 for 1 month to continue from home  is it ok to have the tab for 1month.

39 yrs female attached urine culture report any problem? Brain hemmorage has occur and patient has gone through a surgey on 9th oct 2020 . Due to fever he to lethargic next day again shifted to ventilator on 13/10/20 ventilator is removed patient consciousness level is normal he able to move his all the limbs, understand all the things but can't speak. Acetylcysteine injection From 18/10/20 Vancomycin is started and meropenem is stopped. Also ceftazidime . Started Now the patient status is Approximately fully conscious can understand everything perform movements of limbs. Speak very little words are not clear enough fever approx 100 degree Fahrenheit. All the reports are normal like CBC, RFT, LFT, ABG Etc. Question 1.) Is the line of treatment is correct and plzz tell is reason of repeated fever...ask for 48 years old patient male
