First, I have Bipolar Type 1. My disorder has been managed with a combo of Lexapro, Lamictal, Gabapentin as needed, and occasional use of Trazadone. I have been on the same combo for about 5 years. Second, I am a recovering heroin addict & started the methadone clinic 2 weeks ago, and have all but quit doing daily heroin. For the first time in 5 years, I have begun cutting myself like I did as a teenager up until I got on the right meds. Is there a link between stopping heroin & depression?

I'm on vraylar, Abilify and lithium is that a lot to be on? I stopped taking my Gabapentin because I feel like there's too much medication can you tell me more about how those medications work I'm on 5 milligrams Abilify twice a day 600 mg lithium twice a day and 6 mg vraylar I have to take a blood pressure medication and Klonopin I feel like I lithium them is making me sedated I also threw up this morning

I hav been having sensitivity n pain from touch of cloth or my hand on my right side of tummy and back . There is no rash or blister like herpes zoster but my skin is painful . Since 10 days i have this issue . Doc gave me valcivir1000 but that did not improve my condition . so visited another doctor she gave me pregabalin 75 and gabapentin 100 . Am confused what is the problem with my health . Plz help ...

.What is the best treatment for compressed median nerve in the carpel tunnel of both hands. Is this a serious issue will the patient with this problem be paralyzed in both my hands? Due to this compressed nerve I have lot of tingling, stiffness sensation and pain in both my palms and fingers. I take pain killer almost every day . I have been having muscle and nerve pains and neurologist diagnosed it as fibromyalgia and prescribed amigatin tablets at night ( contains gabapentin and 300mg / amytriptline 10 mg ) from last 6 months. From last 2 days I have been experiencing sudden weekness with tingling fingers and heart racing which is lasting for 15 to 20 mins. Could anyone suggest if I have to stop using this tablet?. Heard that amytriptline might cause some side effects .

I am having shoulder pain for more than 6 months. It starts pricking on a particular location when I am without support to my back. I consulted a neuro physician. He diagnosed it to be more a muscular issue. He said it might be fibromyalgia and prescribed gabapentin. But everyday this pain is unbearable. There is no radiation of pain. It starts pricking on a string of muscle and later the area just around it also aches. But not widespread radiation of pain. This is only on the left shoulder these days though earlier it was on both sides. Please advise.

I have severe backpain sometimes and i m unable to sleep sometime when i sit for long time and then i sleep i have severe back pain and vice versa so what can i do ? And i have to reduce weight but i have no time for excercise and i look ugly due to my overweight my weight is around 90 kg but previosuly it was 74 but when i started one medicine that is gabapentin as suggested by neurologist for pain in hand and leg so my weigjt increased and severe back pain started

I am suffering from depression and anxiety for last 3 months. I tried Nexito and D - veniz in March but couldn't tolerate both. Then I tried alternate medicines and little better now. However, recently I started having severe pain in lower back and right abdomen and legs ( I also have Crohn's). Consulted several doctors and some of them feel that anxiety is causing pain. My gastro also feels that Crohns will not cause this kind of pain. So I thought of starting allopathy again. Consulted a psychiatrist who suggested I try Fluoxetine. I am also taking Gabapentin 100 twice daily as suggested by a neurologist. Gabapentin was making me feel good and sleep well. I started taking fluoxetine 10 mg after Breakfast 4 days back and it's causing day time sleepiness and anxiety. Whereas I am unable to sleep well at night and wake up with headache every day. So the question is should I continue with fluoxetine for few more days or just stop randomly. Are these side effects common?

Hi..I have chronic cough for last 12 years. It stays for about 3-4 months and is quite severe. I suffer from this cough each year. Doctors diagnose it as Bronchitis cough, CVA, allergy etc. All investaigation reports have always been clear. Medicines do not work and ultimately, doctors resort to steroids.One doctor prescribed me Gabapentin NT 400 at night but unfortunately it did not work even 1% and I kept coughing all night. My cough gets litter better upon head massage or when I am distracted. No cough when I am sleeping. Any advise? Recently, I read about Gabapentin being a good medicine for chronic cough. I nightstarting taking 300 mg three times a day and I see about 40-50% relief. Now, my question is - can I try and take 600 mg three times a day? The studies I have read says 1800 mg is well tolerated and is effective for people suffering from Chronic cough.

One month back, diagnoised with L5S1 disc protrusion with neural foraminal narrowing. That time pain during sitting and even during sleeping( radiating pain to butt). First two weeks took medicines (Gabapentin, Lyrica, Etoshine) then started Physiotherapy (manual) and getting trained with extension exercise and core muscle stremgthenung exercises. Now feeling a pain everytime during sitting , however no pain during sleeping. Not taking any tablets now. Will pain gets settled by doing exercise in sometime?
