Methadone & Anti Depressant interacting?
First, I have Bipolar Type 1. My disorder has been managed with a combo of Lexapro, Lamictal, Gabapentin as needed, and occasional use of Trazadone. I have been on the same combo for about 5 years. Second, I am a recovering heroin addict & started the methadone clinic 2 weeks ago, and have all but quit doing daily heroin. For the first time in 5 years, I have begun cutting myself like I did as a teenager up until I got on the right meds. Is there a link between stopping heroin & depression?

Heroin is a multi-effective chemical. It can cause various changes in human body from physical to mental. U must continue consult ur dr and take proper follow up treatment. Deaddiction therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy os also very helpful to u. Sometime use this drugs like heroin causes feel good feelings but in long run they do worse changes innour body which are irreversible.
