Can antibiotic Cefdinir cause maroon stools ? I once had Cefdinir and it caused my stool to turn maroon with red blood tinge to it. I gave the same sample to the lab for testing of Stool R/M and occult blood which came out to be negative. So can it happen ? Have you witnessed such cases where patients complain the same after consumption of above named drug ?

Actually I was taking cefdinir and on that very day I also had Munakka raisins. So can it happen ? This incident occurred in 2018 but I thought that I should ask well qualified doctors on practo go can give me a genuine answer.

My nephew is 8 months old and he is having teething ache right now. Due to this he is having fever also sometimes. Doctor has prescribed cefdinir oral suspension and calpol suspension. Yesterday after taking these medicines, he was feeling restless and cried all night. Are these 2 safe to take?

My daughter (4.5) has persistent fever since last night with throat pain. Calpol 250 mg also could not bring the fever down completely. Earlier she had bacterial infection and sefdin (cefdinir) 125 mg worked well. We have started the same thinking bacterial infection in the throat. What could be other possibilities. I was diagnosed with an ear infection, and in order to get rid of it the local Med-Check gave me a few antibiotics. One was Diflucan(two pills, one for first day, the next taken after a week) to help me prevent yeast infections, and Cefdinir(300mg, one every twelve hours) and Azithtromycin (250mg, taken once a day for 5 days) for the infection. I have, and been continuing to have diarrhea. It's been a week since my last antibiotic. I've been stressed and feel tired. Help???

I have some ear pain, lower jaw pain with swelling since may. I have been prescribed amoxicillin in may for a week. I took it for a week. Went to ENT and he gave cefdinir for a week in June. I have taken that for 4 days. Extracted wisdom tooth in July and taken antibiotics amoxicillin for a week in July. I still have the same lower jaw pain. Dentist told me that I need a RCT. So, he put me on antibiotics amoxicillin now before root canal treatment. I took amoxicillin twice a day for past 2 days. Today I have stomach cramp, discomfort and passed loose stools 4 times. I am passing stools immediately after eating or drinking tea/coffee. It's loose liquid stools. I hear some grumbling noise in the stomach. Is this normal? Taking too much antibiotics in the past 3 months harmful to the stomach? I have taken liver test and kidney blood test last month and both were normal.

I had done stapler circumcision 1 week back due to balanoposthitis, I am getting bleeding in frenulum area 3 days back and seeing the gap between the incision area and swelling, there is little panin in the above and high pain if I touch the side parts of incision area, attaching the picture. Hi, Both my ears got blocked due to pressure while scuba diving. Seems while equalising pressure under water it didn't go well. After coming out of water my spit had blood and ears blocked with pain. Instructor told me that it will be fine in some hours but now its been 2 days still ears are blocked. Went to ENT Dr , she checked and said ears are blocked due to blood. She gave Cefdinir 600mg, Sinarest, and Otrinoz nasal drops. I am not sure when my ears will open up and the blood in middle ear gets drained. Is this a concern as both the medicines above are not directly related to cleaning the middle ear. I am worried. Please guide. Regards, Paresh.

I have lower jaw pain,ear pain with swelling for more than 2 months. Had nasal congestion and facial pressure. So Dr said it might be because of sinus infection and gave me antibiotics. Amoxicillin. Sinus cleared up, but the jaw pain under the ear, inside ear sore pain and swelling didn't reduce. Went to ENT and had Endo. No infection in ear and sinus. Told me to take CT scan to see if any persistent infection and gave cefdinir antibiotics. I didn't take that antibiotics as I thought it could be some dental issue. Went to dentist and he said it could be upper wisdom tooth or a crack in my lower first molar or TMJ. Removed Upper WT 20 days back. Still the same symptoms. Went for follow up. He said to see a TMJ specialist. So upper wisdom tooth is not the the reason. I have to see if it's sinus or TMJ or tooth crack or Parotid gland issue.I went to my GP and she said my neck is also little swollen and tender and told me to take neck US. i don't know if neck ultrasound cover Parotid gland
