Does late in ovulation cause late period? Ovulation on day 23 of cycle(27 july). When should period be expected?

Is PCOD and PCOS same? if not, what is the difference? And if at all i'm diagnosed with PCOS, it is curable?

My reports suggests PCOS but my gynaec said it's PCOD, are they same? Also is PCOS reversible? there have been various misconceptions about both PCOS and PCOD. Please help resolve my doubt.
