Hi Dr My father was prediabetic from last 2 years and his hba1c score was 5.8-6 on different intervals. During routine checkup with cardiologist hba1c score is 6.6. Right now dr is treating him for hypertension, DLP , and right now he only said to cut off sugar from diet for 4 months no meds given for that.. What to do?

I am a diabetic for last 20 years, I used to have following sugar level 3-4 months ago: pp: 180 mg/dl hba1c: 6.5 % but after trying some new medicines for the last 3-4 months, now my sugar levels are: fasting: 90-95 pp: 200 mg/dl hba1c: 5.5 % is this transition good or bad ?

I am suffering with hyperthyroid and atrial fibrillation since 21.12.2020 (for over 23 months). TSH flutuates a lot and i get thyroid profile test every 10 to 14 days.  All t3. T4 and tsh were in normal range for last one month.  Got thyroid profile total test on 28 november 2022 and report shows t3 at 1 ng/ml, t4 at 9.9 and  tsh at 0.946. I have been on lowest dose of 5 mg of neomarcazole per day for 40 days. I am getting little symptoms like palpitation for last few days . Question 1. Do I need to increase dose. Question 2. Do i need to get Antithyroglobulin Antibody Test. Question 3. Is there any chance to recover from thyroid Kindly answer all above 3 questions

Hi Doc, I have subclinical hypothyroidism since last 3 years which usually is under control . I take Thyronorm 50 mg daily . The levels were u der control till May 22. I had my thyroid test yesterday and have got the reports , it's 5.05 . Kindly let me know if this is a serious concern . Also let me know what would be the impact as I am planning for baby .

Hi, My wife recently gone through the blood test for diabetes and this is her readings:- HBA1C:- 7 % Fasting Sugar at Home:- 122 mg/dl PPFBS at Home:- 148 mg/dl Fasting Sugar at Lab:- 117 mg/dl PPFBS at Lab:- 144 mg/dl OGTT TEST REPORT Fasting Sugar:- 122 mg/dl 1 Hour after taking Glucose:- 207 mg/dl 2 hours after taking Glucose:- 159 mg/dl Her doctor prescribed her metforim 5 250 twice a day after meal. I just wanted a second opinion on this readings. Is she diabetic? Does she really need to start medicines? She is not taking medicines as if now. Note:- We went through the tests 2-3 times with in month and got the similar readings.

Got this reading from full body checkup report. After a day i tested for fasting Sugar Level and it's normal (84). 22 years old M. I eat a perfect balanced diet. Follow a healthy lifestyle with proper gym and resistance exercise. I don't eat direct sugar and unhealthy stuff. As i hit gym, so i wanted to gain some weight and started eating more carbohydrates along with more protein from last six months. I am eating around 2500 Calories and around 1000 calories come from Carbs. So i was thinking if this elevated reading could be the result of high carb diet and should i need to worry about it? I read on internet that 5.8 is prediabetic. Please i am very concerned about my health.

My mother age 63 is diabetic with recurrent uti. From last 3 days her sugar is fluctuating and is shooting upto 300. She takes lentus insulin, Jalra m 50/500 and gluconorm G1. She doesn't have any kind of symptoms n from outside appearance she looks absolutely fine. For UTI prevention she is taking UTIOF 1 tab daily.. what can be done on this?

Dear Doctor, I had a health check and attached is the reports.. I am already in medication on Glycomet 500 mg daily from last one year. Even then sugar levels are not in proper range.. Pls find out the reports and inform what to do next. Kindly suggest.
