Hypertension
Had an episode of very high BP (180/100). Went to emergency and they gave me meds to bring down bp. Came home and monitored BP for 3 days and range was always between 139-148/90-98.
Consulted Dr and was advised to take Telma 40mg. Also got Echo and ECG done which were all good.
My concern is that even after being on Telma for a week my BP readings are between 133-138/85-90.
I am going through perimenopause, my last period being in Jan/feb.
Shouldn't the BP be down to normal range of 120/80 with daily dose of 40mg Telma ??

Seeking advice on TMT test result
I recently underwent a TMT test, and my pre-medical insurance application was rejected based on the results. I would appreciate your expert opinion on my health status and any suggestions on how to proceed or improve my condition. I have attached the TMT report for your reference.
Lipid Profile:
Total Cholesterol: 163 mg/dl
Triglycerides: 135 mg/dl
HDL Cholesterol: 41 mg/dl
LDL Cholesterol: 95 mg/dl
VLDL Cholesterol: 27 mg/dl
Total Chol / HDL Ratio: 4.0
LDL / HDL Ratio: 2.3
TGL / HDL Ratio: 3.3
Non-HDL: 122 mg/dl
I am concerned about whether these results, along with the TMT findings, indicate a cardiac issue that might justify the insurance rejection. Are there lifestyle changes or medical interventions (e.g., diet, exercise, medication) you recommend to improve my heart health and potentially reapply for insurance?
Thank you for your guidance!
