I have been experiencing blackish-brown stools for a week. I had motions 3-4 days ago but I had no watery stools.  I am having blackish stools but not that black like I have read on Google(not like tar). Ever since I have taken medications for diarrhea, I don't have any other problem. Should I be worried about the stool color even though I don't have any other symptoms. Is this only a sign of dehydration? When should I be worried ?

Biopsy report: 1)Focally ulcerated rectal mucosal bits identified with mild neutrophillic on moderate scattered lymphoplasmacytic inflammation,focal lymphoid aggregates in laminate propria. 2)Features are of active on chronic nonspecific proctitis. Current Medication: Mesacol,pentasa 1g suppositories, drotavrine, sompraz d, Actapro. Current symptoms: blood, mucos and pus in stool, diarrhoea, severe abdomen pain. Can you help me with following questions: 1)is this IBS or IBD?if IBD, what kind? 2) Are these Medication correct because my symptoms are not going? 3) Is there any other test to rule out IBD? Kindly help as condition is getting worse day by day. I have attachéd my colonoscopy report as well.

In CECT abdominal scan for my mother shown possible occurrence of mucocele of appendix of size 3.5cm diameter and 10cm length. There is no pain or any other symptom because of this. What are the next steps to treat this condition will surgery be necessary? Thanks,

Hi , since march I have been facing rectal bleeding with diarrhoea and mucosa. So the doctor I consulted suggested sigmoidoscopy , from which he concluded ulcerative colitis and gave me the following medicines: mesacol 2.4g daily, Omnacortil, Vibac, pantop 40. After sometime all my symptoms were gone, so I stopped using omnacortil and continued with other medicines. But after 1-2 weeks of not using omnacortil, my symptoms again came were not gone until I started using omnacortil again. So I was on and off on Omnacortil until December, when I had my colonoscopy with biopsy done. In colonoscopy, everything was normal except for minor rectal erosion, and in biopsy it concluded active chronic, nonspecific proctitis. So the doctor told me continue with the following medicines: mesacol 2.4g, Actapro, Colospa -x and Deflon 500 but even using all the medicines my symptoms are not going away. I am going 3-4 times washroom and my stool is not solid with mucosa and blood and mild abdomen pain
