I'm having excess mucus in my throat and whenever I sit in some position, phlegm tries to push it's way out. It's causing an irritated throat I have no other symptoms. Should I be worried ? Please suggest some way to get rid of this mucus accumulation

I have been overweight from last 4-5 years. But I didn't have any health problem so far. When I was nearing to obesity I decided to start my workout and I am doing still. I was weighing 81 kg 5 months back. Since decided to loose weight I am standing in 75-76. Now I am effected with two problems 1. Due to cool air I am having cough mostly only in night times ..when i am not exposed to cold air..I won't get cough..If I take cipla tablet it is under control. I work near hilly area and it is too cool there.If I go to duty I m having cold n cough.How many days should I take this Cipla tablet.Is there any good medication Doctor.
