He told is that if we can observe the cat for 10 days, we need not give anti rabies vaccine or any other vaccine to my grandson. He administered anti allergy and anti biotic pills for 3 days. Cat is under observation and alive after 15 days post scratch. Similar incident had happened 2 years back, and we had given my grandson the first 3 doses of anti rabies vaccine on Day 0, Day 3 and Day 7. Since the cat was alive after 10 days, we were advised to discontinue the vaccine. Does my grandson need anti rabies vaccine to be given? We are feeling a little concerned reading the WHO guidelines.
