How can I decide steroid is necessary for patients My relative with stable oxygen saturation and all blood report normal include crp d dimer,il6,cbC but doctor suggest to start steroid.patient have fever 101 after taking tablet.

I have breathing issue through nose and chest diaphragm. I can't breath fully, a short breath. After X ray doctor told its cough in chest and even I have acidity. Does high PI shows some serious condition in body. PI is greater than 20% i.e sometimes 20 and sometime 21 while measuring saturation in oximeter. Is high PI is a condition for any serious disease.
