Menorhhagia
Hello doctor. My mother is 48.
Chief complaint - very heavy menstrual bleeding and dyspnea. NO ABDOMINAL PAIN. Due to heavy bleeding, she frequently becomes anaemic.
On investigation -
Abdomen ultrasound showed few uterine fibroids with the largest measuring 58*52 mm.
Chest x ray shows enlarged heart.
Hb is 8.2.
ESR is 20.
KFT, LFT, Urine test, Blood sugar are normal.
Is surgery necessary for fibroids? And is the cardiomegaly reversible since it's due to IDA?
