Fear of cancer

Hi doctor. I'm a mother of 2 kids . I'm always having the fear of cancer. If any of my kids or husband is down because of some illness, the first thing that hits my mind is cancer. Please help me to avoid this thought. I'm so scared.please assist

Regarding medicine

My mother age 75yrs has cold with little cough with phlegm. No other symptoms. The phlegm is also normal color. Sometimes cough with phlegm noise. The doctor earlie prescribed pulmoclear ls and later changed to ascoril expectorant. I tried contacting the doctor but he's not in station. Which medicine should she take?
