I recently got my son's eye checked from eye doctor. After check up my son got only cylindrical power in both eyes 1.75 and 2.50 with vision 6/12. Is there anything serious ? What are the complications of these numbers and vision. What precautions should we take. Thanks in advance.

My 8 year son was diagnosed with cylindrical power of 3 in one eye and 2 in another eye, no spherical power. Whether it is serious ? Doctor said that it is because of size of cornea. He has done slit lamp test and advised for follow up after 6 months. Whether I should do any other test for my son ? And what are the precautions I have to take that it won't further increase. Does surgery immediately needed for retinal tear and detachment? How soon we need to do this? I noticed the black spot ten days ago. If i wait for a couple of months, will it get worse and cause any vision issues

I have suffered blunt trauma in my right eye some 3 years back. vision and other physiological parameters are normal. Already tried pilocarpine but that caused blurring of vision. What are possible treatment for traumatic mydriasis (anisocoria)?

Hi I have black dot which is like cloudy smudgy greyish black dot in the left eye vision/eyesight. Do we need to see the opthalmologist or optometrist for this? I asked the clinic for the opthalmologist appointment but they asked me to see the optometrist first for this issue. How to find out if I have any retinal tear or detachment? Are these floaters or retinal break/ detachment? What test should I ask for? It's been like this ten days now and my appointment is only next week. Are these need to be treated and seen asap? Hi Doctors, My son is 8 months old and since 3rd month we saw a little bump on his eyelid, it's not painful but feels like a water filled or pus filled, he don't get pain when pressed, homeopathy is also not working can anyone tell me is this curable and whom to connect, I am attaching his pic for your reference Regards Karan

Hello Doctors, I know someone posted similar topic but I have additional symptoms. Kindly help me. Thank you 1.  With my eyes movement, black floaters move with a some heat wave effect in sunlight. At that time, the surface of anything I see in transparent background gets distorted/bouncy until I move it away from it. 2. Does it go away after floaters go down to the base of the eye in few months or permanent? 3) When I look out of balcony my vision is like I am looking through heat wave also. Far away mild blur like looking through a veil like some polithene cover stopping me to focus crisply though I can see everything finely.  Doctors say I shouldn't notice much vision change with small powers without glasses. Dilated test +0.25 sph & -0.25 cyl. Is it possible I am noticing it without glasses? 4) Glasses are giving some  convergent effect like everything is squished congested.  Should I recheck my prescription?

Kindly take a look at the report and suggest what i need to do further? Is the problem I have, dangerous in any manner?

This is regarding my daughter, she is in early 30's, myopic, he has been using contact lenses for 3 years now(monthly disposable ones),  her eye power has been the same for the past six years through regular check-up on yearly basis, her right eye power is -11.5 for spectacles, earlier the shop from where she bought contact lenses provided her -11 power contact lenses for 2 years but now she has been given -9 power contact lenses for which she's facing problems such as discomfort in vision, haziness upon blinking, dry eyes, on the first day itself she had a bad headache. I want to ask if the eye power is stable then why variation in the power of contact lenses that of earlier, even if I assume the brand is different would this differ drastically this much from -11 to -9, and should she discontinue with these lenses if the shop refuses to replace, it's already bought for a year, any suggestion or advice is appreciated, thank you.
