Sir, Age 33 Iam non diabetic patients, Just yesterday hbalc report result 8.4, Recently I got covid on may 5th, I taken steriods treatment 5days, I recovered on 27may, I shown to report, treatment given at the time of covid, He told that will control in few days don't worry he said. , I vist in my colony doctor he said in early stage, Daily 1tabley 500mg before food for 1month suggested, After that sugar levels control it is ok, to stop medication and diet and life style modifications will and exercise is must he told, My dout can I take medcine or not, I checked before breakfast 112 After lunch 161 Sugar in meter home. My mother is 70 years old and is is being prescribed Glycomet SR 500 MG twice a day. Her fasting sugar with the medicine is around 145 and after 2 hours 190. But with this medicine her stomach goes for a toss around the 3rd day and has to go to washroom 6 to 7 times. And if she takes one medicine a day she is ok. Any other medicine which can be a replacement of Glycomet 500 MG as she has upset stomach after few days
