My father age is 71 he is having high bp and high sugar, for sugar he is having Glycomet gp2 twice and voglibose 0.2 twice but today his pp is 436 and fasting is 230, pls suggest some medicine

Sir, I have listen some Doctor in tv interview, Type 2 diabetes can be reversed , in early stage 1 month to up to 3years, There is chance to get reverse, It is true or not. Recently I checked my hba1c 8.4, Iam a non diabetic patient, I got covid last month, that time I taken steriods, Covid and steriods effect will raise sugar levels or not. On 3rd June I have gone thru Blood test and Urine test & random sugar test in morning at 11 am. 2 hours before test I have taken snacks and when report came next day my sugar level was 201. But no sugar found in urine. What should I do to control my Sugar?? Can I maintain my sugar level by taking precautions and regular excercise. My sugar is type 1.
