Ear Infection in 3.5 years old

Hello, my son complained about ear paid and doctor diagnosed ear infection. He has given Augmentin syrup and ibugesic plus for 7 days. wanted to check if it is safe to continue these two medicines for 7 days thrice a day, one tea spoon, even if he is not having fever and is not complaining of ear pain now. he has taken 3 doses by now.
