Ear-Nose-Throat Problems

Left side un comfort in throat while swalloing for more than 2 weeks especially morning time.no other complications and anle to eat food.

I am in USA now. I have sinus infection,ear pain, swelling in the had under ear for past 3 weeks. Went to the doctor and they said it's sinus infection and put me on antibiotics. I always get sinus infection or strep or common cold once in 2 or 3 months. After 2 weeks of antibiotics, I still have the same ear pain, swelling and jaw pain. Went to ENT today. He did Endo for nose, sinus and said no infection. Ear also normal. But he is not sure why I have swelling and ear pain. Told me to get x-ray,CT scan to see if I have infection. Is CT scan really necessary even if the sinus infection didn't show up in Endo? I took an pns x-ray in India last year. Attaching it. Do I have sinus infection or not? How to know if I have any allergies or sinus ? Is it very urgent to take CT scan now or can I wait till this pandemic gets over. The swelling and ear , jaw pain with nose congestion is there for past 3 weeks. What could be the reason? Is it ok to delay or do we need to get CT asap? help pls.

Thanks for the prompt response from the doctors. I appreciate that. This is regarding the pain in my right pain Have taken antibiotic eardrops. Feeling slightly better. But still the pain persists. Now I right jaw also started paining. No liquid coming out from the ear. Pls help me if someone can tell me the exact problem. Thank you in advance

Hi, my son is having congestion problem since 3 days, itchy throat with vomiting once a day , he don't have fever. He usually face congestion during weather change. Please advise should I go for corona test for him? are these are symptoms that he had catch the virus??

Having severe pain in the right ear from yesterday onwards. I am able to hear properly.No issues. Pain is because of wax?

I always prone to catch cold, sinus infection, strep throat often. I used to get one infection in 2 or 3 months. Always resolve with antibiotics. Catch cold if I go out in cold weather, cold wind and if I have ice cream or cold good items. I never tested for any allergies.i an in USA now.had one pns x-ray when I was in India last year. Here, ENT told me to get CT scan and x-ray to check if I have any infection. I have sinus infection, ear infection, swelling under ear for past 3 weeks.was on amoxicillin and it didn't reduce the pain and swelling. He put me on another antibiotic for 2 weeks to see if the jaw swelling and ear pain is secondary infection. He told me to get imaging fine after 2 weeks. Is CT scan really necessary even if there's is no sinus infection now? ENT is not sure why I have the jaw pain,ear pain, swelling under ear. Just told me to get an x-ray and CT scan done. Help.

My husband is having pain at the right back side of jaw which makes me him initially confuse to be an ear pain..this leads to him difficulty in eating or swolling anything..also he is having pain in the movement of mouth or opening or closing of mouth..it is little swollen but i am not so sure. gave him hot compresses but it dint give him any relief. i would be giving him a ibrufen before going to bed.can you please advise if its not anything major because of the current hospital situation.

Swelling and hardness in larynx, and feeling something clicking in the left side of throat while swallowing, but no pain, cough,cold or fever, and I am also having gas reflux problems last 3 months, I used so many medicine in past 3 months, like MUCAINE GEL, PANTOP 40 TAB, and AZITHROMYCIN TAB but no use , and finally after lock down I went to MS ENT specialist, he said it's GRED, and he prescribed me MUCAINE GEL, SOMPRAZ 40 TAB, ENZOFLAM TAB and asked me to do some tests for neck like ULTRASOUND OF NECK and reports are shown (ANTERIOR NECK LESION IN THE REGION OF THYROID CARTILAGE- LIKELY LYMPH NODE / COLLAPSED THYROGLOSSAL CYST), then he advised to do FNAC test, and the reports are shown (SUGGESTIVE OF CYSTIC LESION), and now he asked me to do CECT SCAN OF NECK, but my gas reflux problems are not gone, and they are worsen, do I consult GASTROENTEROLOGIST first or do I go with the MS ENT SPECIALIST, please help me.

Hi there, Since last few days I have a soar Throat and cough (with mucus). Due to Covid situation me and my family are largely staying at home and venturing out only once a week for groceries shopping. I DO NOT have a fever, headache or any type of body ache. I am fit otherwise. Can i have some suggestion or prescription. Regards. Ankur
