Hi Doc, What are the normal levels of bilirubin in a newborn? My baby is currently 9 days old and has a level of 13 when it comes to bilirubin. The doctor suggested feeding her well so that the jaundice will pass in urine and stools. We have a blood test again in a week's time so wanted to check what is the safe level of bilirubin in newborns.

Hi My daughter is 9.5months old. Her diet is really less. She only eats half a spoon. Is it normal? What can i do to increase her diet?

My daughter has hair fall since a year. After she had high fever. Density is reduced a lot. No balding but she had a very thick hair. Did the blood tests again for CBC Thyroid B12 folic acid D3 and ferritin. All tests are normal. Ferritin is 20 and attaching the blood report before a year and now. Kindly guide

My baby takes 3 meals and 1 snack . She is 10 months and 14 days. I go to the office for 2 days and leave 150ml breastmilk for her that she takes in 3 times. Is 150ml milk for 12 hours is enough??? Or she should drink more. She is an exclusively breastfeed baby.

My son,aged about 17 years, has been suffering from fever from past three days. It started with headache and leg pain and the legs and hands were cold before the onset of fever and one more thing is that it is increasing, as on day one it was 98.8, then 100.6, yesterday it was 100.4 and today it is 102.1… First day I gave crocin pain reliever,  and yesterday  I gave Dolo 650 every six hours, the fever is not decreasing, and today it 102.1 and he also has tiredness.  Can anyone tell me what might be the reason for this type of fever?   Thank you    

Hello , my son is 3 months old . I seen today little blue spot on both upper eyelid. Is it normal? He is playing well and other activities are also normal.

My 2 months old baby girl has nose congestion. I am giving her saline nasal spray. But it's been 3 days and no improvement. What should I do?? Baby's room has little bit of dampness. Is it possible that it causes her nose congestion.please suggest me something.

How many times can babies get febrile seizure? My baby got first in the 11 th month due to viral fever then in 17 th month due to HFMD and after 2 weeks of previous seizure had another one due to stomach flu..Even with frizium he got fever.Paracetamol was given and frizium as well..He got seizure after 4 hours of this dosage when I was feeding him the temp rose very quickly and even sponging didn't help at that time.One dr said it's not good to get 3 seizures in a year.What further tests needs to be done to rule out any future issues.Handling/Seeing baby with seizure during fever is extremely mentally straining hence I also would like to know the chances of another febrile seizure in general public under paediatric.Thanks in advance.
