Child Health Issues

My son is 18 month old weight 10.3 KG,having cold and cough from 1 week but no fever. Consulted to doctor he advised to give Alerid twice 2.5 ML and Kufril thrice 2.5 ml for 5 days. Today is 6th day and doctor is out of town ,can we continue same medicine  or it would be harmful for him  now as he is still having cough now thick mucus is coming from nose ,earlier it was watery. Is this matter of concern.

Hi, I have a 3-month-old newborn who has been experiencing cold and cough since this morning. I’ve been using Nascoclear six times a day. Does this help with relief? Can anyone suggest other drops that might help?

I have recently checked my babys blood who is 2years old as on jan 2025..-for checking vitamin D3 and HB level..both levels are normal but the esr NEUTROPHILS LYMPHOCYTES seems to be elevated..is it okay..my baby is conpletly healthy and does not have any sort of illness not even cold..he rarely have health issue he had fever on last december whichc was viral and within 3days he was okay..and before that a fever when he was 9months okd that too viral..and subsided within three days..apart from this he has not got any health issues..an so confused why this elevation..he is in teething process and also he has one mouth ulcer in his inner lips which is healing..assumes its by biting he does not show any troubles he eats and drinks normally

Our baby girl (15 months) was suffering from diarrhea from last Friday to Tuesday. This evening she was breastfeeding, and suddenly started trying inconsolably, throwing her legs apart. After a few minutes, she vomitted, and a portion of the milk bubble came out. Again after 1 hour or so, she again started crying inconsolably. We have given her 5 ml of Drotin DS, although she has vomitted again after consuming it. Should we give her another 5 ml dose of Drotin DS after dinner? Is there anything that we need to do now?

My 5 month old niece recently developed 4-5 small red spots on her right side of the face (refer image). She hasn't gone out of the house, however we do have a lady who bathes her twice or thrice a week, she works as a cleaner at multiple houses. Is this something of concern?

Can I give Red Amaranth (Laal Maath) and Green Amaranth (Chaulai) to 6 month old baby? I have already given her Ragi, Rice and Daal porridge, carrot, apple, peas, spinach, potato purees.

My 24 days old baby cries inconsolably while pooping. She strains herself so much. She had skin tear like rash near anal now its healing. But still she cries so much. What could be the reason for her to strain so much?

Hi Dr My 1.10 year toddler girl cries/screams in night for no reason while sleeping many times, sometimes suddenly she’ll get up and do the same. This is very concerning to us, please advise! Other than this there is no other symptom she’s normal (urine stool normal). Thanks.

My 7 month baby vomited after eating moong dal within 2 hrs...when he was 6 months old I started a solid introduction with moong dal at that time he digest moong dal for 4 days. After a week he suddenly started vomiting after eating moong dal. Please let me know the reason? Is he allergic to Moong dal ?

My baby is under a veg diet and is one year old. Should she be given vitamin D drops externally? Or any other multivitamin drops needed? Baby's birth weight is 2.84 kg and the current weight is 10 kg. Is Iron drops necessary?
