Brain and Spine Problems
Chronic lacunar infarct
Hello doctor,
Recently my mother aged 63 yrs, fell down and dashed her head against a wall. It was only a mild to moderate impact. However a CT scan was prescribed to know if everything is alright. The scan results mention two things
1. Chronic lacunar infarct in left lentiform nuclei
2. Prominent sulci fissures and basal cisterns
Can these be considered as regular age-related anomalies? Or do they require a more detailed inspection?
Thanks

Headache with pressure
Hi Dr,
I feel constant pressure at one spot in the head on the left side of head diagonal to the top of the ear.
On sleeping, the pressure is felt in the entire head. I had consulted with the GP, who gave me pain killers and sleep medicines probably, it worked for a day, but today again I am unable to get relief.
BP is normal. The pressure travels to the front and face occasionally
However, I am feeling constant pressure. I also suspect a pinch nerve in the back of my neck. Can a pinched/pulled nerve cause this pressure? what can I do for relief. Please let me know.
Thanks

Head injury
My father aged 60 met with accident on 27th feb 2023. Doc did ct scan immediately after injury and report said small hemorrhagic contusion at left peri-ventricular region measuring approx 5*4mm and another small contusion measuring 4*4mm at right parietal region. He is fine physically now. But he has some memory issues, also he is still. Not able to recall his routine he was following before injury.. He needs to be directed to take bath and basic things.. Doc is saying it will take time to recover and he will be fine. Can anyone please confirm if he will be fine and his memory will be back as previous.. And how much time it will take for him to recover
