Bone & Muscle problems

My mom (48) fell and now she is having a huge bulge or accumulation of soft material around her knee. She is not able to move and has a lot of pain when she walks. We got the X Ray done but there is nothing with the bone. Suggestions on how to cure will be appreciated as it's been 1 month.

It's very difficult to walk out of bed early morning. Feel like somebody is passing current in the back bone. But fortunately my legs are not in pain. The pain goes away as day progressed. But the feeling occours suddenly while twisting, jerking for a little while. Sometimes I feel the pain in the waist. Thank you.
