What are the reasons for ligament tear, what are consequences after ligament tear. Is surgery necessary for partial ligament tear.

Initially i had localised pain in 6 th rib both sides like short aches for one month but in the past week i m feeling random aches in back side of ribs and pressure or heavy feeling in upper back with some random aches..

Had t-bone car accident at low speed two weeks ago. When GP was checking my neck he palpated my spine. Was tender on one spot between the shoulder blades. That is now gone. Should i be concerned? Ive noticed this tender spot before the accident, myself and during massages ive had regularly in mall. Later had lower back pain (went away) and mid back occasional tenderness (very light) so when i pressed on mid back spine one area was tender but when tried again immediately it was gone. Now no pain

Can broken ribs as a child affect them later in life? My EX husband broke SEVEN of my daughter's ribs when she was eight months old. She's now fourteen years old. Up until yesterday, she's had zero issues. All of a sudden, she just started to hurt in her chest, ribs and back. The doctors can't figure it out, so I was wondering if her injuries as a child could have resurfaced.
