My mother has been suffering from periodontitis since past 4 months. She is 46 years old now. I was reading about periodontitis and came across diabetes also. Will she get diabetes because of periodontitis? She also has a family history of diabetes. What care should she take? What medicines will help her?

I am 38 year male. I brush my teeth twice and gargle every time after food with a mouth wash. Still I get this periodontitis that is swelling in gums and bleeding also. These are symptoms of periodontitis only , right? Other than maintaining hygiene are there any medicines to treat this condition?

I have got root canal treatment couple of years ago and the cap didn't fit in place right. Now I could feel there is a slight gap in between the gum and tooth, and I have severe pain while eating and even when ideal. I could even sense that the food particles are entering to the inner part of the gums as there is a slight gap between tooth and gums. Wat to do? And will the food particles cause harm if I delay in treating the tooth? I fear of tooth decay leading to septic. Any time being remedies and answers are much appreciated.
