I've bitten my cheek on the same spot in sleep quite a few times in the last few months and the area seems a bit red and a but dot over it and a red cut like mark was present there with a negligible depression there ..and one day I must have bit it bad I woke up with a bit of bleeding in it after few days now it's healing but feels like a burning sensation ..it's exactly on the buccal mucosa where my teeth are supposed to meet just where the border of my lips end on the inside .. I do smoke .

I'm sure you must be having sharp tooth near that region. Do u have the habit of grinding ur teeth at night. U might not know if you have this habit but some person with u can surely tell u. Please visit a dentist n rounded off the sharp tooth which if not done might repeated cause ulcers n may even turn out to be a risk factor for oral cancer. For now about eating spicy food till the would heals
Please immediately visit a dentist. Cheek bite and continuous trauma from a sharp tooth is not good. Can lead to traumatic ulcer and may turn carcinogenic if untreated. I can't be sure of what exactly is your problem unless clinical examination.
Better to first visit and dentist and clear the problem.
