1.Do they give anesthesia to the patient before doing colonoscopy? 2. Is it very painful while inserting the colonoscope? (I am getting done mine in Siliguri, West Bengal)

Hi Sir/mam, I had bleeding while passing motion for one or 2 days. Then it is fine. Felt some pain while sitting for few months back. Now it's better. But in posterior region of anus opening I can feel very small pointed thing, feels itchy while touching, and when I press that area feels little hard and pains rarely. Rarely I have constipation and bleeding while passing motion.
