I was suffering from viral fever, for which my doctor prescribed Doxy as one of the medications. Unknowingly, I took the last dosage late in the night, and went off to sleep. I woke up early morning with severe heartburn and started burping continuously. A day and a half later, I'm now struggling with severe pain in the middle of my chest and have trouble swallowing, even plain water. I'm now being monitored and taking Nexpro-20, Sucralfate (Sparacid) solution and also Sonata Sticks as part of the cure. Kindly advise if I'm on the right course of action, as the pain does not seem to subside. Also, I enjoy my occasional drink. Please let me know how long I should wait before drinking again.

I have the problem of continuous burping. It usually occurs when I eat oily, spicy foods. I met a doctor and he prescribed Sucrafil O gel. I took this medicine. After some days, it started again. So, whenever I get this problem, I am drinking this gel and burping is getting reduced. Sometimes, burping reduces when I drink excess of water. My questions are: 1. What is the exact cause of this problem? 2. Will it lead to any serious ailments in future? 3. Isnt there any permanent solution for this?

First I did colonoscopy there was inflammation in colon biopsy took and report says colitice after four month i did another colonoscopy and the result is normal colon no inflammation... Now I did stool test yesterday and the result come shows mucus and pus cell 3-4 and no blood seen in stool... Is it normal or I have ibd ... I'm confused

Last night had chicken too much masala, mutton in the afternoon... also alcohol with the chicken... now I have vomited 15-20 times. I have had ors and electrol powder, eno... vomiting seems to have stopped. Even if I take a sip of ors I get the tendency to vomit.

Hi, I have been suffering from chronic heartburn for almost 2 years. Initially my doctor ordered crp test and fobt stool test and said i may have gerd / sibo and put me on ppi and antibiotics. After a month i consulted a gastro doctor and he ran 5 to 6 blood test from blood count to crp and all came normal. He said I have functional disorder. Its been more than an year , iam managing my symptoms with antacids every now and then and no cure for my constant loose stool ( not diarrhea though 1 time a day). Do I need to take endoscopy and check this further or I can continue with digestive enzymes and antacid on need basis please? Thanks.
