I have a ruptured abscess from past 6 months (~0.7cm across) Conditions worsened in last month with occasional pain. Treatment with ointments (Framycetin) isn't helping much (doing from past 1 month). Should I continue treatment with ointment or get it removed?

I have suffered from acne for around 10 years initially it was mild and then it progressed to severe . I took a course of retinol around 7 years ago but did not complete it due to carelessness. I have acne on my body , scalp and face . It seems to grow more in hair be it face or body . I have been using topical clindamycin 1% to contain any severe outbreak.
