Skin, Hair and Nail Problems

I have been suffering from acne for the past two years. Both of my cheeks and a part of my forehead are the most affected areas. I have oily to combination skin type and the pimples are generally red and have pus in them. They are not as severe but they are recurring so today I visited a dermatologist and they told to stop doing everything that i was doing( all my skincare including wearing sunscreen). Prescribed me an adapalene gel, nadibact cream and some antibiotic pills. So now i have second thoughts on whether to follow their advice or not since they also asked to stop wearing sunscreen.
