Recently Answered Questions on wet cough syrup

My son is 8 months old and he has been coughing (mostly after feed) for more than 4/5 weeks now. It started with fever 5 weeks back which peaked till 101 degrees, but subsided in a day and he was back to normal. But he started coughing since then. We had consulted a pediatrician when he had fever and he advised us that he may get cough which will go away in a weeks time. She advised us to administer Crocin syrup when he had fever, but nothing during cough. it subside almost after 3 weeks. But my son had fever again for 2 days and this time the cough was slightly serious as he sometimes pukes his entire feed. It's been almost 2 weeks now and no signs of it subsiding. This time the pediatrician said there was a very mild trace of wheezing so she advised Asthalin syrup. He is on Asthalin for couple of days and it's not subsiding. The mucus has started coming out through nose, but is not appearing to be reducing. Couple of nights back there was discharge through his eyes.

I don't have fever or a normal cough, just abnormal amount of mucus. I am not swallowing it, i am spitting it out everytime. Also the color of mucus is white. I was doing hookah for sometime 2-3 months back, from two months i have stopped it. After consuming any food / Tea / milk, its more. Due to corona i haven't gone out to see a doctor. But i am taking some home remedies such as turmeric milk, salt water gargle etc. Should i be worried? Please help.

My 4.5 yes old kid was having fever and little cough 4 days back then we visited the doctor and started medication After 4 days he is having too much of cough although we have tried levolin nebulizer which increased the cough more. Now the problem is that he has eaten nothing for the last 4 days...literally No food. I am really worried .pls help Right now fever has very less...occurring after every 12-14 hours that too upto 100-100.5 F Earlier on the 2nd day fever was 103.2 ...next day it was around 101-102 ...now its around 100 but still ...his health is not improving. .eating No food and too much of cough...wet cough it's looking...started augumantin aswell for last 2 days...

Hi All, My daughter is nearly 3 years old and she is having nasal congestion & dry cough for the last 3  weeks. I have consulted 3 experienced paediatrician in my city and all of them are saying this is kind a viral cough all the kids are having these days and we don't need to worry at all. They all have prescribed mostly the same type of cough syrup i.e. soventus jr./xpect LS JR., anti-Allergic syrup laveta-M/Criz-M and Nasivion nasal spray. I am not sure what to do. I have given all these cough syrups whenever the doctors prescribed it. But still she is having the cough and even though I have given nasal spray, her nose is sounding blocked while she is breathing... But one positive thing is she sleeping properly in night and also whole day is properly active and running and playing.. Please let me know if I need to worry about it. Please guide me.

Hello.my kid has wet cough from last 5 weeks he got viral fever ,fever got reduced but cold nd cough is still there again he got viral fever last week, he got allergies to ,he coughs a lot at night or early morning and vomits phelgm daily and sneezing and nose block daily,and any seasonal changes he gets cold nd cough immediately and sometimes fever too .we took him to pulmonologist and prescribed some blood test ,which is Immunoglobulin IgE and it's results were very high 411.75KIU/L.he prescribed some medicine ,am really concerned because we are using lot of medicines for 5 years old.doctor saying it will affect his growth if we don't take care of his allergies or use medicine.but am really concerned to use this many medicines.can any one suggest best procedure or alternative as we are dealing with this from 2 years .his immunity also decreasing because of frequent fevers ,and cold nd cough daily which effecting his daily activities as well

My 5 years 8 months old kid (weight 22.6 kgs) Suffering from dry cough since last 2 - 3 weeks. Took Ascril LS + syrup & then Asthalin syrup (5ml) but still not cured, mild cough is there, specially in morning and night. Now will he further take ascoril or asthalin. pls suggest.
