Recently Answered Questions on wet cough syrup

Child is having dry whooping cough from past 2 months, visited pediatrician and has been on medication - asthalin and budecort rotacaps from past 2-3 weeks. Cough is not coming down, temporarily it reduces forms day or two but again starts coughing continuously for 1-2 hours with some break in between if given some hot water or cough syrup like amrodyl, however it's been 2 months since the cough has started. Doctors whom we visited including child's pediatrician says that the lung is clear but the problem is that he is prone to allergic cough. Pls help us in finding a solution and also if we should go for further investigations to know if there is any more complications. pls help.

Hi, I am 28 year old. Physically I am fit and always have a good appetite and good health. But I suffer from cough always. Sometimes it's very very less and sometimes it's unbearable. If I take ice cream or get into cold environment where temperature is very low I got cough quickly. I never get rid with this cough. It's sometimes very high or low but it is always present. Broxy SF is one cough syrup which help reducing high cough but nothing finishes it completly. Its been more then 10 years now since I identify myself facing this cough issue. Kindly guide what shall I do to cure it permanently.

I was experiencing mild grade fever and dry cough and sore throat since past 10 days and I started taking paracetamol and Azithromycin and ascoril d plus syrup for cough and my symptoms had subsided with just little fever and cough remaining and I was getting better and back to normal. But today afternoon  suddenly I experienced shortness of breath for few minutes and I monitored spo2 and it was 90% But after 30 minutes I was normal and spo2 was 95%. I still have mild fever and few episodes of dry cough . Could you please help me regarding this? Is it worry some ? Is it because of anxiety and stress or any other reason.

My son who is 2.5 years had fever which has gone a few days back but from the last 3 days he is coughing. The doctor prescribed Montair LC, Azithral 200 and Ascoril LS Jr. The problem is he is not taking medicines and if we give it by force he throws out, Montair LC and Azithromycin we manage to give but the cough syrup is very difficult. I am giving him Budesol and Mucmix diluted with NS since today morning, but the cough is still there. Please help me as I dont understand what else to do.

Hi, I had suffered from fever, cough & cold 5 days back. Consulted a doc and I was given paracetamol, azithromycin 500mg (1 a day) and cough syrup for 5 days. Fever was gone after 2 days but still struggling with thick chesty cough and thick stuffy/blocked nose. Now that the medicine course is completed what to do next to get health back to normal. Please help.

Hello doctors, my daughter suffered with Febrile seizures at her 6 months. Doctor prescribed Levipil 1ml morning and night. Now she is 18 months old. As per the latest consultation, doctor asked us to continue it for another 1.5 yrs. Is Levipil syrup safe for children when we are giving it for 2-3 years? Is there any known side effects due to Levipil? Please clarify.

I stopped breastfeeding my daughter about 5 weeks ago.after her 2nd birthday. since then she has been waking up at night screeming, she doesn't let me to touch her all she wants is screeam. nobody gets any sleep and things are very bad in the house now as we are all so tired. my gp prescribed the syrup and for the first time she never woke up once at night!i am happy but worried as well is the syrop will do any harm to her?what about any sides effects?how long should i continue giving her this?

Doctor suggested sizdon syrup for my 3.8 years old baby boy. I have given to him last 5 months. But I few weeks back I read that it has caused mental issues and child always depend to it. So I just tamper the dose from 5 drops to  now I give 1 drop to him last few weekd. But I felt when I tamper the dose my child has very sleeping problem. Then at this time I don't understand what I do. Is it good to increase the dose or just stop it. Please any body suggest it's very urgent. Thanks in advance. from a mother.
