Recently Answered Questions on wet cough syrup

Today while shaving my moustache, I had my hands wet and suddenly I started coughing and I put my wet hand on my mouth to stop it but I coughed and sneezed anyways and I could feel the water from my hands having gone in my nose. I tried to blow my nose after that. What chances are there that if N Fowleri was present in the water, it could reach far up in the nose and to the olfactory nerves in the brain to cause an infection (since it's water from underground that we draw using jet pump and is not chlorinated like the municipal water)? Have I put myself at risk? I am sorry I keep asking but I am very scared and but such incidents make me fear more. I have ordered NaDCC tablets which I will get next week.

Greetings! My son being diagnosed with URI two weeks back had gotten alright with prescribed medicines by his doctor. However, this week from Monday he got sick with 99+ fever for 3 days along with wet cough/dry nose. Has loss of appetite, and after I gave him ibugesic plus for 3 days, he got better, went to school as well but today he has 100 fever again in the night with headache this time. Wet cough hasn't subsided too. Plz help. He is 5, height123 cms weight 31 kgs

Hi...my daughter is 3.5 month old and her weight is 5 kg. From the last 2-3 days she has cold and cough...I don't it's dry cough or wet...I asked online and dr prescribed me sinarest af and mucolite o.6ml thrice a day...and also levolin 0.31mg thrice a day...I am giving all this.. but not so effect I have seen ...she rubbing her nose everytime...I think some itching is there in her nose. So what I do?? Continue the same medication or got to the peaditrician

We've got two babies in the house. Family that traveled came home and within a day got sick because of weather change. Both babies one 9 week other one 18 weeks have started with runny noses, mucus on the chest, coughing and some what more than the usual stool and fever. The couphing is a wet cough and it hurts them. They keep tired and crying from the irritation. I tried prospan and they had all the after effects of more diaroa and heavy fever. What is it and how can I help the babies?

My brother is in home isolation for last 15 days and his symptoms have recovered almost completely except for mild wet cough and reduced sense of smell. We did a RT PCR test after 14 days but it still yielded positive result. Is it because of the cough or he can still transmit the virus. What should be the further course of action regarding his isolation and should we go for rapid antigen or antibody test instead of RT PCR ?

My daughter is having very high fever since last 2 days and it is not reducing. She is 20 months old and 9.3kg weight Doctor has given us crocin syrup 5ml every 4 hours and meftal p syrup and ibugesic syrup every 6 hours inbetween crocin. Her fever rises to 104° and even after giving all medicine this is not reducing. She even has runny nose and coughing. Doc told that this is due to some adeno virus. Please suggest what we should do

My daughter's age is 2years 4months. Past 2 days she is having runny nose. She doesn't have cough. Today she is sneezing frequently and having runny nose. Here pediatrician is not available for 2 days. I am having maxtra and mucaryl syrup which was given by pediatrician few months ago. Which syrup I have to give for cold and runny nose now? Maxtra or mucarly syrup?

Hello my 3.5 month baby caught cold , he weighs 7.6 kg and is on formula.There is a sound of mucous which is very bad and he is coughing very harshly. He has been prescribed omnacortil syrup, levolin syrup and suspension clamp each for 5days. Only a day of the medicines doses has been completed. I am also giving him nasoclear for 2 times a day. He is vomiting a lot where it is only mucous , also with his stool a lot of mucous is passing. Still the mucous sound in his breathe and cough is there . Are the medicines prescribed safe to give to him.
