Today while shaving my moustache, I had my hands wet and suddenly I started coughing and I put my wet hand on my mouth to stop it but I coughed and sneezed anyways and I could feel the water from my hands having gone in my nose. I tried to blow my nose after that. What chances are there that if N Fowleri was present in the water, it could reach far up in the nose and to the olfactory nerves in the brain to cause an infection (since it's water from underground that we draw using jet pump and is not chlorinated like the municipal water)? Have I put myself at risk?
I am sorry I keep asking but I am very scared and but such incidents make me fear more. I have ordered NaDCC tablets which I will get next week.
