My baby is 2 month old n ommiting wet cough. No sign of fever as yet..waking up after every 1 hour.. please advice

I took my 4.5 yr old kid to a general duty doctor for unsettled cold, occasional wet cough and nasal congestion which lead him breathe through the nose after taking Advent syrup,  montecope for 5 days with paracetamol in the first day when there was fever. Covid sort of ran in the family and everyone recovered except this unsettling symptom in the child. The doctor recommended Wintus D syrup - 3ml x 3 times × 2 days. Is it okay to use this adult syrup in children? He also advised blood screening for Typhoid and Dengue. But my kid usually has cough not settling upto 2 weeks whenever he gets cold fever. Are those blood tests necessary?

Having bad  wet cough from last 7 days with breathing problems, no fever. Taken several antibiotics and antiallegric but did not help. Whenever I wake up from bed, or do some activity, cough starts. There is some sound coming while breathing, please suggest some medicine urgently
