My 5.5 months old baby has 98.1°F temperature.Does she has fever?At what temp we shld consider as fever and give medicine?

Hi doctor, My mouth temp shows around 98.9 if I measure just after taking to someone on call for 30-40 min on call. Does taking long in call increase mouth temp?? That time armpit shows 97.5 Might be stupid but please suggested.

My 1 year old baby girl is having a low temp 35.5c after being sick and having fever for two days. My son age 2.5 years , weight 11.8kg , from last night he has fever , temperature frequently changed between 99 to 100, some times 100.6 , but there is no change in his behavior, he is playing as regular day ,we we have given t-98 syp 5ml when temp arise 100.6, temp drops for some time ,then again flactuting between 99to 100, there is no sign of cold or cough or any other , what to do??
