I have an acne problem ,my dermatologist suggested to take SOTRET 10mg for 10 days .. when I look on that pills box, I found a caution it may affect birth defects..as of now I'm single. But that caution made me look on to other side effects of it in internet. There are so many side effects of it.. I'm already very much photosensitive allergic to sun. Now this search made me more scared and confused about the side effects of it now. Whether to consume it or not??

Sotret 20 mg is a permanent or temporary solution for acne bcoz taken a short course (3 month)of it in early 2017 and my face is completly acne free but after leaving sotret the acne come back to my face then i have decided to done a full course of sotret but plzz tell me this is a permanent solution or temporary

I have been taking sotret 20mg since last 4 months as per the direction of my dermatologist. I have stopped taking the medication since last 4 days. From today morning onwards am facing some breathing problems and weakness and joint pains,back pain,frequent urination since last couple of days. Currently am in my hometown for vacation and my dermatologist operates out of Hyderabad. Today it is difficult to get hold of her till the evening even over phone as her practice hours are in the evening. So should I consider to see a general physician in my hometown for the breathing problem as mentioned above right away or should I wait to get back to Hyderabad and consult the dermatologist. I have a long flight cum train journey to make on the coming Saturday Looking for early reply.

I have been using sotret 20mg for the past 8 years, not continuously though but whenever I get an acne outbreak. Recently when I searched through the net for the side effects for long terms in men I’m scared to see this side effects erectile dysfunction, impotence, partial or complete loss of libido, genital anesthesia, anorgasmia, decreased and watery ejaculate. My dermatologist has been prescribing Sotret 20mg to me since the last 3 consultations - 105 days; taken twice a day. I don't see much difference in the condition. He told me that it would take me 10 months to recover. Even after knowing that I have PCOD, he didn't ask me to lose weight. My acne isn't so severe that it should take me 10 months to recover. Should I consider changing my dermatologist? He is a very famous one in Noida. But seems really wrong to me. It's almost like a contract I'm bound by. Please tell me if he's the right doctor, as his consultations and medicines are really expensive. He also prescribed ezniac gel and peroclin 2.5% in the 2nd and 3rd month respectively.
