Recently Answered Questions on Left side discomfort under ribs

I have persistent discomfort in my upper abdomen since last 4 months. Sometimes it is less, sometimes it is more. This feeling includes - pain in centre of upper abdomen - discomfort in upper abdomen - Sometimes feeling of food not getting settled down in upper abdomen - Sometimes burning feeling I visited nearby gastroenterologist and he diagnosed it as Acidity and prescribed me Nexpro 40 for 30 days and Nexpro RD 40 for 15 days thereafter. I felt somewhat better by this but not up to the mark. I asked him whether i have ulcer? so he told NO and further told that we can do endoscopy to detect H. pylori infection. I have not yet done endoscopy. He also asked to do Thyroid test where my TSH came high i.e. 8.2. He prescribed me Thyronorm 25mg and told that Acidity issue can be due to Hypothyroidism. However i have not yet started thyroid medicine as i am not feeling any symptoms. As i am not yet feeling good, i am scared whether he diagnosed my illness correct or not. Please suggest

Hello Doctors, I've frequent discomfort in chest and upper back. It is also present in left shoulders and arms rarely. It's a feeling of dull pain & soreness. The pain/discomfort comes and goes away. Also, I feel the palpitations at times and I've a resting heart rate of 88-92 BPM while sitting. I got all the cardiac evaluation done. 2D ECHO with Colour Doppler, 3 ECGs, TMT everything normal. I'm obese person and my LDL is 5 mg greater than the normal limit. Cardiologist told that it'll come down with diet. I'm now regularly exercising and controlling my food. Could you please confirm if this is still heart related or anxiety? I'm 25 years old male and do not smoke or drink. I do NOT have any family history of heart problems. I fear of heart attacks every single day.

The area shown in the image, marked in red feels tingly pain(no soreness) many times, i had been diagnosed with gb polyp(tiny) of size 2.9MM, doctor said not to worry though. But this pain m worried is this because of that? In left side rib lower also this is happening.. also i had done lft last month it was normal and my diet is pretty much fat and cholesterol free and I workout daily in gym as well. Also i have lost fat as well. And another thing i wanted to say is in my lower back, a little towards right side(not right), i feel muscular pain, it mostly happens when i workout and after that i can feel, it worries me if its from gallbladder. I drank alcohol moderately i mean once in 3-4 months, before that i have not taken alcohol since 2 years. Also sometimes i see my pee is clear and also deep yellowish/orangish, but when goes in water, it looks like bright yellow. I am confused if its orange or yellow pee. And sometimes pain is there in penis. Plz help.

I had a pregnancy last year, post 4 weeks I started experiencing lower rib cage or just below the rib cage pain, if I sleep on the right side. Had a miscarriage in 16-17th week(last week of March 2017). The pain vanished after that for almost 5 months, it started again since October. Visited at least half a dozen different speciality doctors nobody knows what it is, all of them saying may be some ribs abnormality or its nothing, but I know it's not nothing, cause the pain is frequent now. Sometimes I feel the numbness with pain, the skin over it doesn't feel same as left side, feels kind of numb if I scratch for example. Nothing came in full abdomen sonogram. Pain starts mostly after having food and if I hunch or slouch while sitting. Today it's hurting like anything, nothing is working, walking, sitting, sleeping on either side or on back.Right now in my 6th week of pregnancy. Can anyone diagnose it? Please help!

Upper middle backpain, rib pain for long time. ( Since 7/8 months) When bending or taking deep breathing it's hurt. Daily facing continue pain. Is it muscle related or others problem like heart / lungs? If muscle related then cure possible with excercise or any other treatment? Any idea which type pain this is? And pl tell me costochondritis symptoms also.

Everytime when i eat something bit spicy or bit on extra quantity, a sharp pain just below the rib cage and above the stomach starts which becomes worst when i try to sleep. It is happening around twice in a month and for the whole night the pain is there. Sometimes it's feels like it's because of acidity but i take antacid nothing really works for a whole night the pain is there and i wanna mention again the pain is unbearable.

Hello Doctor, I'm suffering from a dull pain through my left chest,above ribs,arm and some times in my upper back a sharp pain since last 4-5 days.gradually inthe day the pain radiates.also my stomach is bloated since 4-5 days. I'm also sometimes feeling  lite head ness and feeling weak legs ever since.Please advise if I need to worry or this is normal gastric problem.

So I am having pain for the last 3 months ... On lower side rib and near shoulder blades especially when I breathe deeply or I stand or walk or sit without back support... The pain becomes worse.. I have seen doctor who has given me signoflam th4, calcium, and q shine, chymoral forte and 2 shoulder exercise... But the pain has reduced to only 5%... What is causing this... I had an xray which shows nothing... Should I go for orthopaedic or neurologist or chiropractor...

I feel pain in lower abdomen below the right rib cage. It resulted in fever since yesterday. I drink less water , 1 litre - 2 litre approx per day. Isn't that sign of kidney stone. An year back also I felt same pain which become unbearable and I consulted a general physician of fortis. However, post u/s nothing was detected. Instead she recommended vitamin D, C and few injections of vitamin D. Please suggest what to do now. Ashwani

I have pain in left side of abdomen near and under ribs since 2 years.when laying , sleeping it increases .I consult many doctors, check x-ray,CT scan, sonography but nothing found. I consult chest experts, abdomen specialist,but they say there is nothing it's your minds thinking..But I have pain alternate many times it uncontrol .Please suggest me its related doctor or consult.i am hopeless and don't understand what can I do?
