I am taking metformin 500 mg od and my fasting is below 100 & pp varies between 130 to 160 .should i take metformin bd . Also 4 months ago i had hba1c 12.1 and fasting 500 mg/dl that's when i was diagnosed.bit after three months with life style modification and janumet 1000/50 for three weeks and thereafter plain metformin 500 bd for 2 months ..now it's od only. My hba1c after 3 months from 12.1 it's 5.6 I have lost around 12 kg weight through exercise and i watch my diet.now i want to know am i diabetic for sure or is it pre-diabetes or such high blood sugar could be transient. I know various criteria says its diabetes still i wanted to confirm as i am 36 years old now.
