How long does thyroid treatment take? And is it difficult to lose weight and stop hair fall with hypothyroidism? What are the steps that must be taken?

Hi, I haven't been taking any medicine for last two days. Before that, I didn't take thyoroxine for a week then took for two days. Now for last two days, not taking anything. Attached my report. Why does it look normal? Am I normal? Or should be taking the medicine. Just to let you know that I got my test done 2 years back and the doc suggested me to take 100 mg of thyoroxine. I will be visiting my doc on Monday. But thought of asking here. Thanks

I'm a medical student and from what I have read in my textbooks and seen, i suspect that i have accessory breast tissue in my axilla. It periodically pains according to the hormonal changes in my menstrual cycle. I would like to know which doctor should I consult? Can it be treated/exised after examination and appropriate investigations? If so, will a mammogram diagnose it?

I suffer from Hypothyroid (Hashimotos), Hypertension and Type-2 diabetes. As per lab reports in July end, My current TSH Level is high at 6.16 uIU/ml and antibodies at >600 IU/ml. Total T3 is 100 ng/dl, Total T4 is 11.4 ug/dl, Free T3 is 2.6 pg/ml and Free T4 is 1.32 ng/dl. My current dose of Eltroxin is 137.5 mcg daily on empty stomach. Actually, my TSH level went high 3 months back (9.3 uIU/ml) so my dose was increased from 100 mcg to 125 mcg daily and after checking after 6 weeks of increasing dose was found to be 6.16 uIU/ml) so was further increased to 137.5 mcg daily. Take 100mcg selenium supplement (cobadex czs) daily for reducing antibodies. I have severe Vit. D, Vit. B12 and Iron deficiency found about 8 months ago but still not corrected and have been taking supplements for that. I checked my ferritin levels last month which is 88 ng/ml. Iron is at 55 ug/ml (checked 3 months ago) even after taking supplements for 3-4 months. I request u to give me advise on diet & treatment.

Hi. I just got my Thyroid checked and my FT4 is 1.16 and TSH is 3.94. I would like to know is that normal? I am currently taking a dose of 75mcg. I am also suffering from PCOD since 4yrs where my menstrual cycle has stopped completely. I am in search of a good gynaec for that issue. I request you to kindly prescribe me the current dose of Thyroid pill for me and also the medication for PCOD. Attached is the copy of the Thyroid report for your reference. Thanks in advance

I am having diabetes part 1 and half year. Recently I checked my hba1c was 9.0 does this is bad for health?

She has diabetes for 5 yrs, firstly she took metformin tablets for 2 yrs, but she suffered from some gastrointestinal problems. She took also glimpiride tablets along with Voglibose 0.5 tables. After that she is now on insulin treatment of human mixtard(30/70) of 30 unit in day and 40 unit at night. But the problem of diabetes remains as there is no treatment. She has fasting blood glucose average above 200mg/dl and postprandial blood glucose above 400 mg/dl.. Now what can I do????? Everyday she use to walk for about half an hour.

Hi sir, I am suffering from Thyroid problem( it is less than the actual size), due to this I am gaining weight and facing pimples in face. Now I am taking medicine " Thyronorm 100 mcg" for Thyroid, and please find attachment of Ultrasound Scan report and suggest medicine dosage and also how to cure permanently this Thyroide.
