Homocysteine
Hi.
Recently I got my blood test done from Thyrocare.
In the report my Homocysteine value as come greater than 65.
I don't smoke, don't drink and don't eat red meat. I eat chicken twice a week and rest of the week it's more of home cooked vegetables, chapatis and dal. I eat twice or thrice a week outside.
What could be the cause of increase in the value of Homocysteine?
What effect this increase can have on my heart or body ?
Also I am taking Telemekind-H medicine , 1 tab in the morning for BP past 10 years and Lipikind -F , 1 tab at night for cholesterol past 3 years.
Is this increase in Homocysteine is due to these medicines or something else?
Kindly suggest what measures I should take to bring my Homocysteine value to normal?
Thanks

Hcm related enquiry
Hello doctor, My father was recently diagnosed with HCM . He has blood pressure from 15 years.. I had to get a check as well since the doc said it might b genetic.. my echo and ecg came out normal ...Thou one report said I might have mild lvh ..the doc said this might be due to excercise..( I had a BP of around 140 by 85) echo readings were IVSD 1.2 LVPWD 1.2 and LVIDD 4.7
But wen I got checked it in two other places the echo of ecg Wer normal.. I got a cardiac MRI done which said I dint have an HCM suggestive scars and it was normal..I am really bothered Abu this if I don't have hcm y mild lvh then.. and y can't der be a test to confirm that I don't have hcm at all...
I have been following a stringent diet now which made my BP come down to 115 / 70 .. and I got a recent echo done as well which said my
IVSd was 1 cm LVPWd 1cm LVIDd 5.4 cms and LA 3.6 cms.. should i be worried?or can i execercise without anything to worry and get an echo 2 years once

Reason for heart attack
Hi I just came through a incident today morning where a kid 16yrs old who was going for his exam had suddenly died of heart attack, his parents told there were no symptoms. He drank milk he was hurrying for school was very normal. N all of a sudden this took place. My concern is how can some one that old can have an heart attack. I don't understand any logic or science behind these, can anybody cud explain, so that we others can be careful. As my family history is also not very good. We are prone for highbp heriditary. N lots of my elder had an end with heart attack. N some time even I feel a slight pain in my right chest wen I play hard or run fast is that normal

Heart Palpitations
I have been going to the doctor for a heart arrythmia which has been decided is not dangerous. I have been diagnosed with a sinus arrythmia and extra ventricular systole which is causing the feeling of an extra beat.
I have had ECGs and a 24 hour ECG to look for any problems.
During the 24 hour ECG I exercised and my HR went to max.
I now have a stress test scheduled. 24hr ECG was all clear. So would you expect the stress test to be the same as I exercised intensely during the 24 hour ECG?
