Heart and lungs problem
My father is suffering from swollen ankles,he ughs at nights and difficulty in breathing and high blood pressure for 4 mnths.He had small surgery in his back buttock 6mnth ago.And now it is dry.Chest x-ray shows that his lungs has water retention.the doctor told that his heart has weaken and he will suffer always. He is a sugar patient too.I think he is suffering from pulmonary embolism but no doctors are listening and helping me.i just need the assurance n tests that he is not suffering frm PE

In weak heart breathless on lying down or in night that makes pt. Get up from sleep due to suffocation suggestive of cardiac cause of low pumping and fluid in lungs also suggesting decreased heart pumping. If you want to get evaluated for Pulmonary embolism consult a cardiologist, they will advice near ur area. CT pulmonary angiography as well as b/l lower limb doppler
