Clarification on Taking Omega-3
Dear Doctor,
I am currently taking **Inderal (propranolol)** and would like to know if it's safe to take **Omega-3 supplements (fish oil capsules)** alongside it.
I’ve read that both may have blood pressure-lowering effects, and I want to ensure there’s no risk of side effects or interaction.
Kindly advise if this combination is safe for me, and if there’s a recommended dosage or any precautions I should follow.

Ideal BP for 70 yr cirrhosis female
What should be ideal bp for 70 yr female?
Mother, 70, has early cirrhosis, asymptomatic, and is on carvedilol (beta blocker) 3.125 mg twice since 2 months.
Earlier was on TelmirideH on which BP was controlled.
Now, after carvedilol, BP systolic remains around 135 n diastolic around 75 in morning and lesser in evening.
Is this okay?
Does carvedilol dose need adjustment or change of medicine suggested? (Beta blocker started due to cirrhosis.)
What should be ideal bp range for 70 yr female?

Please help me my report findings
Respected sir/Mam
here are the key findings:
- *Electrolytes and Minerals*: Sodium level is slightly low at 135 (normal range: 136-145). Consider increasing your intake of sodium-rich foods.
- *Iron*: Several parameters indicate low iron status: UIBC is 302 (normal: 69-240), Transferrin Saturation is 10.91 (normal: 16-45), Ferritin is 13.5 (normal: 21.81-274.66), and Iron is 37 (normal: 65-175). A diet rich in iron or supplements may be beneficial.
- *Diabetes*: HbA1c is elevated at 7.8 (normal: 0-5.6) and Fasting Glucose is 213 (normal: 70-100). Lifestyle changes, including diet and exercise, are recommended.
- *Allergy*: Elevated IgE at 732.3 (normal: 0-100) suggests potential allergies. Consultation with an allergist is advisable.
- *Cardiac Health*: Triglycerides are high at 628 (normal: 0-150), and HDL is low at 28 (normal: 40-80). Dietary adjustments and regular exercise are recommended.
