Am 39years and ECG report showed grade 1 diastolic dysfunction. Having chest pain and heart burning sensation. How far is this serious and is there a treatment for this? Been experiencing this post covid and gained weight too.

I consulted a doctor and he prescribed 10 mg statin course for 1 month to reduce triglycerides. I am reading on net and everywhere it's written that it needs to be taken life long. So, I am a bit worried of this 1 month course will later lead me to its medication for whole life. Can you please confirm if statin therapy is given for few weeks, just to reduce temporary flare up in cholestrol?
