My father age 50 diabetic ..have a small fissure in ano...on medication from 3 days  of antibiotics and sitz bath but no relief and also unbearable pain now... Doctor says surgery not required still how many days we have to see to reduction in pain? After how many days surgery is recommended?

Hi, I have a painful vein starting from under the right breast and leading towards the abdomen, have tenderness in right ribs too. It's visible when the right arm is lifted and is stiff like a chord, not otherwise but the pain is constant. I noticed it a week back, and have had anti inflammatory medicines for about 5 days, but it didn't help. I can pretty much relate with what a mondor's disease conditions are. I had large inguinal hernia scrotal open surgery past 4 days ago tomorrow I have stapler removal I have history of blood in stool and mucus 2 months endoscopy done rut positive and duodenal erosion now planned to go for sigmoidoscopy can I do???

I am suffering from inguinal hernia, doctor advised me to undergo open hernia repair with mesh implementation. But as mesh is foreign object, I was looking for non-mesh hernia repair and found out that Desarda repair technique doesn't use mesh. But to my dismay none of the doctors are using this technique except Desarda himself at his hernia center, why is it so? Is it because it is not beneficial to patients as claimed by him?which is the best hernia repair technique and what are down sides of Desarda repair?
